The neurology consultants at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital offer a full range of general and specialist neurology services.
The neurologists accept referrals from general practitioners and consultant colleagues. As each of the consultants has individual areas of expertise, intra-department referral and redirection of referrals may occur if deemed more clinically appropriate.
In addition to an interest in all aspects of general neurology, Dr. Christopher McGuigan and Prof Niall Tubridy have a clinical and academic interest in multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuroinflammation, while Dr. Seán O’Riordan has a subspecialist expertise in movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease, tremor and dystonia.
The MS service is supported by a clinical nurse specialist, Lisa Buckley, and all disease modified treatments are available including infusion therapies, which is administered in the Infusion Suite in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital.
The radiology department has state of the art MRI facilities with the most up to date MRI, CT and PET scanning equipment. This provides a comprehensive neuroradiology service with access to the images throughout the hospital.

Infusion Therapies
Our Infusion Suite, which is located within the Day Care Department at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital treats patients with chronic conditions related to rheumatology, gastroenterology, neurology and other related conditions.
