Hurley, Ms Hilary

Biography:

Ms. Hilary Hurley is a highly skilled Consultant Vascular Surgeon with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of vascular conditions. A graduate of University College Dublin (2002), she furthered her education with an MCh by research at University College Cork (2009) and completed her General Surgical Training, with a special focus on Vascular Surgery, in Ireland in 2018.
Ms. Hurley is deeply committed to patient-centered care, combining her exceptional diagnostic and surgical skills with a comprehensive approach tailored to each patient’s needs. She has a strong focus on quality improvement in healthcare and has undertaken numerous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes. This commitment is underpinned by her MSc in Human Factors in Patient Safety from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (2021).
Education and mentorship are central to Ms. Hurley’s professional ethos. She holds an MSc in Medical Education from Queen’s University Belfast (2011) and has a wealth of experience in curriculum development, teaching, and training undergraduate and postgraduate colleagues. Her passion for fostering learning extends to one-on-one mentorship, group instruction, and innovative educational methods.
Having practiced publicly at St. Vincent’s University Hospital since July 2021, Ms. Hurley is now delighted to offer her expertise privately at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital. She specializes in all areas of vascular surgery and is dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality care in close collaboration with her colleagues and patients.
